SPACES Video Experiments is a digital iteration of SPACES, which re-imagines the artistic elements at the foundation of SPACES into story-art “duets”, in which an artist uses their creative movement, be it dance, music, or multimedia, to respond to a personal story told by a local resident.

Five duets from SPACES Video Experiments ​will be presented as part of the In the Banlieues: Oakland/Saint-Denis initiative at a series of exhibitions exploring the banlieues in France and the United States in 2022. The first opens on June 15 at Pavillon de l'Arsenal in Paris (running through early September) and the next one on July 21 at SPUR in San Francisco (running through November). Openings in Saint-Denis and Oakland will follow from mid-June to end of December and late August to December respectively.​
